Carlos Pagan
Before becoming a coach with the WBA, Carlos served as Field Coordinator and Conference Speaker for MLB Puerto Rico. He has been involved with many baseball academies, in particular Chavez Wilma Baseball Academy where he served as field coordinator and Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy where he was responsible for developing sports programs and organizing and supervising their sporting events.
From 2009-2011 he worked for USA World Baseball in St. Louis Missouri where he was in charge of organizing events, exhibitions and tryouts for college recruiters in order to obtain athletic scholarships.
Earning 8 championship rings, his impressive professional baseball career began in 1997 when he played for the Kansas City Royals and Lobos de Arecibo. In 2001 he joined the Somerset Patriots Atlantic League and 2003 saw him at the Seattle Mariners, New Jersey Jackals and Gary South Shore RailCats, where he earned the Player of the Year award.
He played for the Orioles in 2005 and 2006 and won further awards during his time with the Sioux Falls Canaries in 2005 before making Double A at Cariduros Fahardo and Guaynabo Mets, where he played for the national team from 2008-2011 and acted as both manager and player for Coliceba AAA.
He has been very active with children and youth leagues in Puerto Rico. Young players in Texas now have the opportunity to benefit from his vast knowledge and experience in playing and coaching.
